PayPal is one of the leading payment service platforms used today. Whether it be buying products online or sending/receiving payments from others, millions use PayPal daily. If you’re new to PayPal though, you may wonder how to accept pending payments from someone on PayPal.

When sending someone money on PayPal, the transaction doesn’t go through right away. The other person has to receive the notification of payment and accept it for it to succeed. The same goes for receiving a payment from someone. You’ll have to accept the pending payment for it to hit your bank account. Here is a brief guide on how to accept pending payments on PayPal.

How to Accept a Pending Payment on PayPal

If you have yet to complete the PayPal setup process, your payment will sit pending in your PayPal account for up to 30 days. To claim a payment, make sure your PayPal account is fully set up to send and receive payments linked to your bank account.

If this setup is complete, accepting a pending PayPal payment is simple:

  1. Log into PayPal
  2. Go to Summary
  3. Under ‘Pending’, next to the message showing the recipient ‘hasn’t accepted yet’, click Approve
