Elon Musk’s X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) will launch a new payment feature. The X team recently created a dedicated account for the upcoming service. Many users speculate that the new feature will also include cryptocurrency payments, given that Musk is an avid fan of crypto, especially Dogecoin (DOGE). However, Shiba Inu (SHIB) fans wonder if the DOGE rival will make it on the new X payment service.

One should note that X has not officially stated anything about crypto payments in the upcoming service. However, Musk, being a cryptocurrency user, may decide to include the emerging asset as a means of payment. Musk’s other ventures, such as Tesla and The Boring Company, accept Dogecoin (DOGE) and Bitcoin (BTC) as payment for selected items, such as merchandise.
Will Shiba Inu (SHIB) be included in X’s payment feature?
Shiba Inu (SHIB) fans, popularly known as the SHIB Army, are a commendable force in the cryptocurrency space. The collective often gets things done when they put their efforts in the same basket. For example, the SHIB Army played a significant role in garnering the attention of the crypto exchange Robinhood. Robinhood has since listed the token on its platform.

However, SHIB is a volatile currency. The asset is down by over 89% from its all-time high of $0.00008616, which it attained in October 2021. The volatility may be one reason X may decide to omit cryptocurrency payments.
However, there is no confirmation yet. The social media platform may decide to include all forms of crypto payments or none at all. Furthermore, if X decides to include Shiba Inu (SHIB) in its new payment service, we may see a surge in adoption and price.
